How a build actually works

Message the team before you place a deposit, especially if you are working toward a specific convention date. We will tell you honestly whether that date is achievable.

Reserve your slot
Your deposit holds a place in the build queue. It is applied to your final total, not charged on top of it.

A ref sheet, a sketch, or even a species plus a list of colours. Within 48 hours of your deposit so the design team can start pricing.

Get your quote
We price your build from your actual design and send you the full figure. Nothing is cut until you have seen it and agreed to it.

Together we confirm colours, markings, claw style, paw pad colours and any special features. The balance is settled before production starts.

Our production team builds your pieces to the agreed spec. You get milestone photos as the build progresses, not silence.

Custom work goes wrong when expectations are set badly. Everything below is what we would want to know if we were the ones buying.
The deposit is non-refundable once production begins
It reserves a slot in the queue and comes off your final total. If your plans change before production starts, tell us. Our refund policy gives a 24 hour window after purchase to change or cancel.
The deposit is not the full price
Your final figure depends on the complexity of your design: markings, species, extra features. You see that number and agree to it before anything is made.
Timelines are real, not marketing
Partials run 8 to 14 weeks from the day your balance is settled, depending on complexity and the current queue. Full builds are quoted individually.
Who designs it and who builds it
Our design team turns your reference into a build spec and signs off the fit. Our production team builds to that spec. Nothing ships without a final check against your reference.
Shipping is quoted separately
Shipping is not included in the deposit. It is calculated when your build is finished and ready to send. Tracked international shipping is available.
Custom work is final once it starts
Custom builds cannot be returned after production begins. If something arrives damaged or does not match what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will repair or replace it.

Most images on our listings are concept and style references, not photographs of a finished client build. They show what MochiiPaws is aiming for: toony, soft, expressive.
We would rather say that plainly than let anyone assume otherwise. If you want to see real completed work before you commit a deposit, ask us and we will send you current photos.
MochiiPaws is a team rather than a one-person workshop. Our design team turns your reference into a build spec, covering colours, markings, claw and pad detail and fit. Our production team builds to that spec, and nothing ships until it has been checked back against your reference.
That is how a custom build stays reachable in weeks instead of the year-long waitlist a solo maker has to run. It also means there is always someone available to answer you.

Can I get a build in time for a specific convention?
Tell us the date in your first message, before you place a deposit, and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable. Partials typically run 8 to 14 weeks from the day your balance is settled.
What happens right after I pay the deposit?
Send your fursona reference within 48 hours. We confirm your slot, send a full quote based on your actual design, and lock the colours and markings with you before anything is built.
Is the deposit the whole price?
No. The deposit reserves your build slot and is applied to your final total. Your full price depends on the complexity of your design and is quoted to you before production starts.
What if I do not have a reference sheet?
A sketch works. So does a species plus a list of colours and markings. If you are still figuring your character out, get in touch and we can work from whatever you have.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, tracked. Shipping is not included in the deposit and is calculated once your build is finished and ready to send. Customs and duties are the buyer's responsibility.
How do I look after it?
Hand wash in cold water, air dry only, and keep it away from heat. Brush the fur gently with a soft brush to keep the pile soft.
